Tasmanian Blackwood Acoustic Guitar Back & Sides.
This set has a rich red colouring and Birds-eye features that are solid and stable. The small knot on the sides is outside working area.
Tasmanian Blackwood is an exception Tonewood. The species has great density (Janka 1270) and is often considered by Luthiers to have better tap tone than Hawaiian Koa. Tasmanian Blackwood shares similar physical and tonal properties to Rosewood and is used as an alternative.
